12-27-92 Walter Lynn Lacy visited Johnnie Burns Lacy yesterday, and told
him that William Marion Lacey had found out that his grandfathers
brother Columbus Jasper Lacy is the father of Lillian May Lacy, which
Married Clyde West and had a daughter named Mae West, the movie star. JL.

12-28-92 Johnnie B. Lacy Jr. found Mae In a encyclopedia. But the dates
don't seem to be right for Lillian May Lacy to be her mother. The record
we have now has Lillian being born 1885 and Mae being born 1893. I also
found that in 1959 Mae West's autobiography, Goodness Had Nothing to Do
with It, was published. The library is trying to get it for me. JL.
