Hezekiah Lacy Was born in Georgia in 1843. He was a brother of William
Davis Lacy of Cherokee Co. Ga. His father was born in Virginia, but his
mother was born in GA. He lived in Rabun Co. Ga. The Family is on the
1880 Rabun Co. Ga. microfilm census, Clayton Dist.
Hezekiah Lacy, his wife, eight children and a sister, Matilda or Tillie
as she was called, started from Rabun Co. Sept. 20, 1883 and stopped in
Madison Co. Arkansas Dec 4, 1883. They were on the road 75 1/2 days.
The above information is from Hezekiah's Bible now owned by his
Granddaughter Cuba McHeldaney Fritts, Rte. 1, Wesley Ar. 72723.

Lacey
Noah's will was probated in Oglethorpe Co., GA on 15-Sep-1826. He was a
Baptist Minister and farmer. No record of the marriage of Noah and Mary
Wilson has been found.
In 1777, Noah was living in Powhatan Co., of VA for records show that on
31-Jul-177 he was one of the of the subscribers to a fund for enlistment
of soldiers in the Revolutionary War.
In 1777, he also preached in a church, or churchs in Goochland Co.
Noah served in the Revlutionary War.
From the Auditor's Account Book XVIII, 1783-1784, p. 688, State of
Virginia
"688, Richmond, Virginia, 20th May 1784, Sundry Acct. Dr. to I. A. T. ...
Warrent to Noah Lacy for his services in the Militia of this State. 7.8.6"
Noah remained in Virginia for some time, and all his children were born
there. In 1800, he was in Oglethorpe Co., Ga, where he moved from
Virginia. His name appears in the Georgia Land Lottery List of 1826.
From the "Georgia Baptists", by Campbell, p. 141, 1847
"Noah Lacy, Brought up as a preacher in Powhatan Church. 1n 1790 his is
licentiate in Prince Edward County. In 1799 he was ordained at Bethany
Church in Oglethorpe Co. GA"
